Lifecykel has engineered a patented extraction process, which removes the starch that is inevitably absorbed by the mushroom in the growing medium. Lifecykel tinctures contain only 0.018% starch– the lowest ratio on the market– making it highly potent.
The leading mushroom competitors do liquid extraction on the fruiting body and mycelium, so the mushroom has a lot of starch in it, as it is grown in rice or oats. This results in a weak tincture, with lots of unnecessary filler.
Lifecykel’s double liquid extract ensures that both water soluble compounds (mainly polysaccharides like beta-glucans), and alcohol soluble compounds (mainly antioxidants such as triterpenoids), are present in their product and bioavailable for the body.

When you grind cannabis flower or herbs, the surface area is increased. This allows for large amounts of oxidation to occur. Oxidation breaks down the potency of any dried consumable (mushrooms, herbs, cannabis flower, etc).
The extracts suspend the active compounds in liquid, which stops the oxidation process. Although extracts are more potent, they are less common than powders. This is because extracts are typically bitter in taste, due to the traditional extraction process.
